Food – where to buy near the Goodnow Flow
Cloud Splitters Outfitters by the 28N Hudson bridge has started stocking some food basics (ramping up selections for the summer season)
a refurbished café/general store has opened, they also have a gas pump that takes credit cards 24/7. The alternatives for gas and food items are limited.

Dining out at the Goodnow Flow, Newcomb, NY
OK, so there are no dining out options at the Flow unless someone invites you over. This is just a list, not a set of recommendations, I don’t eat out due to multiple food problems.
- Newcomb Cafe and campground: breakfast and lunch in Newcomb (opened after Christmas, stopped service in March – check)
- Lake Harris Lodge: Opened around New Year, in March switched to takeout service
- The Owl at Twilight: Evening dining, daily at 5. Olmstedville
- The Cellar in Long Lake Pub & dining, Closed, reopens for season in May (in normal times).
- Scoops ice cream by the USPS post office Ice cream summer season (closed for winter).
- Newcomb House Bar and grill. For Sale sign up in the 2019 season and now shuttered. Updates when and if!
- Turner’s Pizza Long lake Pizza place check ahead for winter opening.
